Purpose of Our Program
The purpose of The Aspiring Program is to educate, encourage and inspire individuals who have a desire to be successful in the events industry as an event or meeting planner.
The Aspiring Planner's mission is to provide the necessary tools to each "aspiring planner" to start their event planning business the correct way, grow their company into a thriving entity, and maintain successful stability in the industry through affordable training opportunities such as conference calls, webinars, live events and private coaching.
Founder and Lead Facilitator
LaKisha Mosley is the Chief Event Engineer and owner of KLK Events and Designs, a full service wedding and event planning firm based in Houston, TX that specializes in creative events, innovative designs and flawless execution. A native of Louisiana, LaKisha started in the event planning industry 5 years ago as a solo entrepreneur. Since starting in the industry, she has successful planned various events such as weddings, charity galas, company launch events as well as fashion shows. As the Chief Event Engineer, LaKisha is committed to making sure your event is a spectacular occasion. From inception to execution, her goal is to provide you with the best experience you can imagine.
The Aspiring Planner program was started after LaKisha was invited to do a conference call about event planning. There were a lot of ladies on that call and many had questions afterwards. In response to that, LaKisha decided to start The Aspiring Planner on the premise that she could help individuals who aspiring to be planners but don't know where to start. In June of 2015 with a conference call of about 50 ladies all wanting information on how to start their businesses, The Aspiring Planner was started. LaKisha's goal through The Aspiring Planner program is for anyone aspiring to become an event planner to do so successfully and be able to maintain their business.
LaKisha is the mother to two children, Kaniecia and Kaylon. LaKisha a graduate of Louisiana State University at Alexandria, Northwestern State University and Houston Community College with degrees in Criminal Justice and Human Resource Management. LaKisha is also a member of the National Association of Women on the Rise, National Association of Professional Women and the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
